PSA/DNA Pokemon autograph authentication is in a bad place

Back today. They did not give an opinion on my Kimiya Masago signed page which was very disappointing but thankfully refunded.

Is this fake?

no

Interview with Nat Turner PSA CEO said they just hired 2 new experts to lead the tcg psa auto auth team, because they’ve slacked the past year. Talks about it around the 45min mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peYouRw4ZWU
good news!

Not to be pessimistic, but I want to know who they call experts before I think this is going in the right direction. Unless it’s in the video.

I was starting to think this had been the case since I’ve talked to a few people who actually had there orders they sent multiple times previously, finally come back authenticated very recently.

Glad to see some improvement.

I don’t know why PSA bothered at all when people clearly like burning their money on a company they know doesn’t have the capability to authenticate by repeatedly sending it in without any change having been made.

Most people I know stopped submitting, only a couple I know continuously resent their submissions. I think PSA knew there was a problem and tried to fix it, which is a good thing.

However, I’m sure PSA didn’t like having to refund most of the Pokémon and some other TCG signature submissions. If I had to guess, that would be one reason for fixing their current situation.

One other possible reason is seeing the CGC announcement of their acquirement of JSA, this could have made PSA make a bigger push to hire an authenticator for TCG.

I have 11 signed pokemon cards with PSA right now, (all of which I got signed myself) half are in grading. Will update with how they go.

This for sure. Doing the work and not getting paid for it is certainly not in PSA’s DNA (no pun intended).

Not me :pensive::v:t3:

But boy oh boy, the tea I could spill… best of luck to whoever they hired.

I must be very lucky, since i have sent inn Arita cards every month since nov, and all have come back graded with no trouble

I think most Arita autos have been ok but everything else has had inconclusive results

And some of those Aritas that came back as authentic…

Do you have any idea or speculation on who it might be?

Find it hard for them to be some world class expert on pokemon autos and E4 not have any idea who it could be.

They are probably known but have signed an NDA an can’t reveal it until (unless) it has been announced
