The N0 inconclusive is really disappointing. I had a commission done and the artist sent me multiple signed cards I want to encapsulate. It’s a unique frustration owning something directly from an artist but doubting PSA’s ability to authenticate. They really need to hire someone qualified. If they keep being misers this will affect their brand long term.
My cards that were mislabelled seem to have completed today, Graded in early Jan, but mislabelled Mitsushiro. I kept going back to the certs in the hopes of seeing them done.

I remember when you got this done. How disappointing.
Just wanted to add my 2 yens to this.
Regarding the date format being swapped. I was at the event (photos added). I had quite a few cards signed, all of which were dated using the American date format. Whereas, the card addressed to BSM in your comparison uses the Asian date format. I am confident that card is also legit as I have bumped into him before at signings and knows he gets these in person (although I didn’t see him on this occasion). So it’s very possible that Himeno changes date formats on a whim, even during the same event.
Not a pokemanz card but happened recently with my Ian McKellen autograph (I had an Arita auto that went though fine).
I wrote to PSA and they sent a very flaccid response.
Will be sending to BGS - literally have photo proof of it being signed
Both of my MTG autos went through just fine. I have two more in Research & ID that were signed alongside the Nightmare. Hoping that things get better for Pokemon autos.
think bgs charges $100 for arita vs PSA’s $35 or w/e which is pretty annoying… bgs seems to charge more for autos in general than PSA
My cards were deemed inconclusive. I’m not mad since this was the expected outcome. I only sent these in since I had a submission for the February special that I submitted with it.
This time I wasn’t charged for the service, so I don’t have to wait for refund this time. They only charged me for shipping.
I had four different artists in this submission, so it makes me wonder if they specifically flag any that they don’t get frequently.
I asked them to add two new signers:
“At this time, we are not able to authenticate either of these signatures; that will not always be the case, though. I suggest submitting this request again in 3 months; I apologize for the inconvenience.”
For my last order, I had two Sorcery TCG artist proofs and both came back inconclusive. Sure, except that I was the person who got both those artists into their database via research and providing evidence. They refunded me but super annoying since it took me 3 weeks of back and forth to get the artists added to their database in the first place…
Tbh, PSA should’t be slabbing any of these newer artist auto’s to begin with.
Some of them have never actually done a public signing or the sources to see what their autograph actually looks like, is far and few.
Until PSA has someone who knows what they’re doing, is proven they know what they’re doing and can accumulate a solid portfolio of verified autos to work off of, new artist should be off the table.
I mean new in the sense of them not being in their database. They’ve been doing pokemon for a while.
Regarding sources, their official twitter accounts contain samples of autos, so I think that would be a good way to start.

What confuses me is the inconsistency in their decisions. I got some friends that sent autos/sketches from Aritas event on germany last month and got rejected, I was starting to accept mine would be rejected as well but I got lucky and they got graded.
Anyone want to jump on the bandwagon? Seeing a tonne of people getting rekt at the moment.
Sent this after PSA basically told me they wont refund.
I’ve noticed an increase of questionable authenticity lately from submissions I’m seeing. Mine have always come back as inconclusive since Seth’s firing, so at least a refund was given.
From the surface, this seems like a way for PSA to avoid having to refund, but hopefully I’m very wrong.
Overall it’s definitely a complete mess, especially seeing questionable authenticity is being used now for Pokémon.
Ive noticed the same. Kinda sad that they can’t just admit they are not currently equipped to deal with them and stop allowing submissions until they are.
The blanket failing everything just kills consumer confidence especially for people that got the items in person and know they are legit.
Atleast with the inconclusive they didnt look completely dumb like they do now.
Out of curiosity prior to firing their head grader, how many cards ever got rejected? Was it a common occurrence or nah?
Before they hired Seth, the guy who knew what he was doing, yes, this was a very common thing.
Sending cards was purely a coin flip, with no rhyme or reason to cards getting slabbed or denied.
