PSA 9 Unlimited Base Zard

We’ve seen unprecedented changes happen this year.

But PSA 9 Zard has been selling consistently this month for $200, there’s even sold listings for $225 and $300.

Since all the other Zards have exploded in value what does it look like this year will be for Unlimited?

I don’t expect the same level of growth just due to the sheer amount of them graded compared to Shadowless and 1st but I feel collectors who are priced out of the more expensive Zards will gravitate towards base unlimited.

It’s also a pretty cheap card for speculators to pick up as well.

Imo I don’t think it will be under $400 this time next year.

I think $400 is pushing it, but I wouldn’t bet against a Base Zard either. English anyway.

Glad I got for $100 a few weeks ago. I think it’s going to also depend how the 10s do… If they stay in the $2000-2500 range, then I think the 9s will fetch $300 or so.

The $300 sold listing was best offer accepted i think. This is a card with a lot out there so naturally, supply is quite strong with this one and can only increase. Shadowless and unlimited are different because if collectors want a shadowless copy but its beyond their budget, an unlimited just wont do it for them because they are aesthetically different. They would just go for lower grades of shadowless. As to pricing. I believe $300 is achievable, but it will take some time.

Yeah I tried to see the sold price the other day on flippertools but it doesn’t work with items that have multiple quantities… No way people dropped $299.99 US on these.

I agree, I wonder how many Gary has :open_mouth: I know he sold 40 of them this year. Definitely in the 300-400 range though.

It’s also one of the few cards I could even see dropping due to the huge supply relative to other cards.

It was known to sell at a lower price for a period of time before getting back to the $150+ range last year. Time will only tell but I’m not putting a lot of money into this card

Yes I did but now I have more 10s than 9s…quite a few more.
I’m selling 9s now for 259.00-269.00 and they are still disappearing. Buyers are assuming 300 or more and a no loss situation.
I guess that may all be so since the demand only figures to go up and the supply is suffering.

You went from saying it’s going to be worth $400 in the near future to possibly dropping. Make up your mind.

It’s not going to drop tbh… People know there’s almost 3000 of these but they still pay market value all day. It’s also the one card pretty much anyone remotely interested in Pokemon wants or already has in their collection.

Even played copies sell for $30-50 all day long. If I see them go back down to $150 or less, I’ll buy them all.

$100 a few weeks ago? maaaa mannnn! nice score, sold one for $170 three months ago.

I have a PSA 9 unlimited zard I bought a month ago for $200 so hopefully it goes up

I bought a PSA 9 unl. Zard before summer $135 incl. shipping

I remember when I first got into collecting again in 2014 I got a PSA 9 at auction for $60, and I bought a PSA 10 one for $300 in 2015… nuts

I bought a PSA 9 Unlimited 'Zard for $150 last summer. Also bought an Unlimited Base set a few weeks ago, and second pull was 'Zard. I will send that one to PSA for grading in the near future.

I still need to find a 1st edition 'Zard before they disappear.

I have seen the Psa 10 dip in prices recently

Not really a drop. The incompetent listers at pwcc had two close at about the same time so it split the buds to 1500 each. Now another has closed at 1800.00. I’d say 1800-2000 is about right for the next couple weeks. Could go up after that.

Indeed… The $1525 ones were a steal, but it was just really was bad timing. There was 4 or 5 listed on ebay at the same time. Ironically, all of the non pwcc ones sold for more.

It’s not going to grow quick like Shadowless or 1st Ed, but it shouldn’t be too long before it reaches $2500+.
