PSA 10 Brock Gym Heroes 1st Edition PWCC

Thought it would be interesting to hear thoughts concerning the 1st ed Brock Holo on PWCC right now that’s already at $1,300 or so with 7 days remaining. Curious to see if the other PSA 10 trainer cards (Misty and Erika) on PWCC will follow suit.

I always thought these holo trainer cards had been overlooked compared to the Pokemon from the Gym Heroes/Challenge sets so it’s nice to see an increase, but I am wondering if this new price is sustainable.

I don’t believe they will as they are not the same rarity. See the link below for the Pop report in PSA.

One sold off of IG last week for $1500 FF.

Misty and Erika have historically been available for sale, with multiple copies appearing at the same time within the past year. As you mentioned, the pops are higher than Brock, so I don’t think it will reach extraordinarily high levels. Brock is the lowest pop holo between both Gym Heroes/Challenge at 44. However, I expect Lt. Surge to go decently high. I know a lot of people who are looking for Lt. Surge and especially Brock. I don’t think there has been a public sale for Brock (on Ebay that I know of) in about 2 years - a few sales happened privately.

I bought a copy last year for 90 aud on ebay and sold it for $160 aud on ebay later last year.

Sales on ebay occur just not picked up.

Considering hairy poke balls sold his for $1500 I assume this one might be close to that. As for misty and erika I don’t think they’ll go nowhere near $1500 due to availability reasons.

I recently sold a Brock last week for $1500 FF. I understand why people are paying premium for it given its low POP and Brock getting all the ladies. However, it’s just not a card that most collectors think of in the front of their mind. I personally wouldn’t pay that much at all for one, but that’s just me and the market speaks for itself.

This card already sold for 1k months ago, just not publicly. You have no idea how hard to grade this one is, plus it´s freaking Brock.
