PSA 10 1st ed Charizard $42.5k OBO

if there are on the case is not a great idea not write this in the description… It’s litteraly absurd (it’s a strategy for not sell it).

for that price one could atleast expect higher resolution pictures or scans. It’s like having a picture of a woman in the dark that could be either Elizabeth Turner or Rosie O’Donnell.

From my personal experience i’ve noticed weaker grades on older carts but that could just be my experience. Just good to hear what everyone has experienced. But yeah overall this card looks pretty good I’m honestly surprised it’s still up and not sold

I’ve seen trash cards in old and new 10 cases. I’ve seen strong as hell 9’s in old and new cases. Both were in the minority of cards overall though.

That 10 to me looks like there are a lot of reflections going on that people think are scratches. Some are likely case scratches too. Definitely worse photos than I would put up on a $40k card but again it is a PSA 10. I thought I heard there were $40-50k offers out there on this, so I would expect this to sell fairly quick? Calling it a weak grade as an explanation if it doesn’t would be a weak excuse IMO. I’m pretty sure reaching out to the seller one could clarify some things about it fairly quick.

@gottaketchumall, “Definitely worse photos than I would take for a 40k card”… “But it should sell fast” :face_with_spiral_eyes: :slightly_smiling_face:

I mean I heard there was up to $50k out there on this card. So yeah. If I was a buyer at $50k I would have been on the phone with this guy by now and found out if it was buyable. I mean a PSA 10 is a PSA 10 right? If I would pay $50k for a “true 10” whatever that is then surely this would be worth near ask on it @smpratte.

@gottaketchumall, I was just teasing because it was funny reading those together!

But seriously the seller just needs better photos.

Can anyone else fathom that with PSA’s new policy of going with final graded value of the cards for service level that a PSA 10 base 1st zard would cost $3,000 to grade? Imagine having one gem mint since your youth and not being able to afford encapsulating it…

Would be funny iif a switch to BGS was based on grading price

Just bought the PSA 9 shadowless zard from him for 1200. He took a best offer with a 150 dollar discount! That’s a solid deal and the card looks pretty nice. His pictures are terrible, but it’s a recent grade so I feel it’s pretty safe as a PSA 9.

Edit: On another note, the seller seems to take offers and be very respectable. I bet he would take an offer on the PSA 10 zard. He didn’t blink at accepting my 1200 offer and sells a ton of high grade cards it seems.

Seller also made a small mistake by not including “1st” in the title, didnt come up when I went to have a look at it.

Also sold a psa 9 1st grey stamp Alakazam, hard to tell from the picture but seems to be it.

Looks grey to me! That’s pretty cool! What’s the value for being a grey stamp???

I guess this is exactly what I want you to think/say;)

He had it listed for 40 with an offer. I offered 34,000.00 then next thing I knew he changed it to 42.5 with no offer. Is anybody else seeing an offer?

$42.5k and no offer button at the moment

Gary I know you love those old certs, because if I recall that’s what a majority of your 1st base Charizard inventory consists of in the youtube sale video  Like I’ve mentioned before, I wonder how the majority would do if regraded against PSA today. Have you considered crossing them to BGS for black label status?

A couple people here have seen them all. They are all amongst the best I ever owned.
At some point I’ll try to cross them over to Pristines but I’ll have to go in person. Leon said he’d set it all up since he lives in Dallas and that’s where BGS is. Wouldn’t ship them cause I can’t afford the insurance;)

Hey Gary I messaged the seller to let him know that he should consider adding more detail and taking better quality photos. I felt like this was acceptable since I just bought from him anyway. He messaged me back and said that the charizard has no scratches on the case, but that it was not the highest of quality 10’s. He told me he was open to a mid 30’s offer.

If you message him, I bet he would strongly consider your offer. Seems like a reasonable guy and willing to cut a deal.

As far as pictures go, he claims to have a camera that is not the greatest and this is the best quality pictures he can take. I suggest he use some of the money from selling to go buy an iphone or scanner lol.

So “no scratches on the case”… Is on the card right?
