Protecting booster boxes

@thorgene can you give us more details about the booster box cases? I am very intrigued by what they are made of and how secure they are.

I must admit, they look amazing for displaying your boxes

You know what would look cool? Bell jars like you see in museums. I think that’s what they’re called anyway - glass domes to cover items, like on stuffed birds etc.

I can find those quite easily, I think I saw them at IKEA today.

Bumping this because these look amazing. Anymore info on these?

Nice discussion. My cards just sit in a safe. Temperature and air condition seem pretty good most of the time. Those acrylic cases look nice. Are the japanese boxes neant to be stored vertical like that? I feel that is putting pressure on the cards as they are also vertical and therefore the gravitational pull might be causing some potential (minor) edge damage on the cards.

All boxes are designed to be stored vertically, because they are designed to be sold as individual booster packs.

I prefer horizontally myself but they are sold on shelves vertically.

Thos is true, but long term i feel as though vertical storage would cause damage to the cards. Older sets were designed to be stores on shelves horizontally however less exposure to the customer was the draw back.

They look like they are empty to me, so imagine these are just for display. Still, if you could make something like this for english boxes, that seal on both sides and aren’t vertical. I (and i’m sure other members) would buy the shit out of these, so cool!
