Print Colour variations

Noticed an item come up on eBay where the seller is saying his Chinese 1st edition charizard is a misprint due to the lighter coloured wings:

Which I questioned due to the light colour of the photo. I just spent a good ten minutes comparing my base set charizards. I believe he’s just comparing them to the English shadowless, which are of course darker, with dark green wings.

The 1st edition Chinese is indeed lighter than its unlimited counterpart.

When I compared all my charizards, they’re all different. Korean, English unlimited, Dutch, etc. Just varying prints as Korean was printed in Australia, the Chinese in USA, the Italian in Belgium, etc.

The 2000 language variants are pretty much all similar to the English unlimited which they were based on, just varying colour intensity. Even the red background on the non-holo sections of the card vary.

Mildly interesting.
