Hi everyone, I am looking to complete a full set of PSA 10 black star promos and the venusaur card seems to be the most elusive to me which is understandable as the pop report only shows 5 of them. I am just wondering what I should be expecting to pay for this card and how much people value the card at.
DACardworld had the last publicly listed copy for $1,495. They sold it privately for slightly less. >$1200.

It’s an incredibly hard card to grade, and one of the lowest pop of the Black Star Holos for whats been graded. Hard to grade isn’t the only factor, if you can get a bunch of raw mints cheap like in the case of black star eevee holo. Expect to pay whatever the seller is asking. Perhaps venture into grading it yourself if you can look out for mint raws.
5/230 were graded 10.

Thanks for the replies, this helps me plan out how much I need to save up for a full set. I was expecting it to be worth over $1000 so I guess I wasn’t too far off with my estimate. I would try to grade raw copies myself but as you mentioned its a hard card to grade plus I don’t have much experience grading my own cards and because I live in Canada psa charges quite alot for shipping. I guess for now ill just wait it out and hope 1 hits the market someday.
Why not settle for a pretty 9?
When I am closer to finishing the set I will probably settle with a 9 if no 10’s ever show up.
