I saw your card on FB earlier this morning. A few suggestions/points:
Hope that helps!
Hey thanks for the message! I’ve added photos now I believe, just with the imgur link and have uploaded on eBay with 999.99 as a placeholder price to see what happens do you have any rough idea in your experience or is this new to you aswell?
It’s a cool error, offset Yellow CMYK layer, but the condition really hurts it. It’s impossible to predict what it could actually be worth because anyone who would buy this is going to be a major outlier in how they personally value it. Unless you can find the perfect buyer, I wouldn’t expect more than a couple hundred.
Thanks for all the info and advice guys!
I often see @churlocker tagged in these misprint posts so he may be interested?
Very cool one, but yeah only people that will pay a premium are in a misprint facebook group. You can advertise it there and then make them fight for it in an auction. Good luck
That’s a pretty cool error, and a rare one I suppose. Keep it listed on ebay and forget about it, I’m sure someone out there will buy it.
I don’t see a lot of error card collectors these days, there were more of them back in the days if they come out from the woodworks.
Had some mixed opinions saying you’ll never get top dollar on Facebook compared to eBay but does that not count towards misprints? Or just personal experiences
You’re going to get the most visibility on eBay, which means more money, potentially. Do not put the card on an auction imo, it’s too niche of an item. I’d suggest putting the card up on eBay as BIN for a price that you’d be very very happy with, and allow for offers. There are definitely people out there that get their jollies from errors/misprints, and aren’t afraid to pay money for a rare or unique error. Some error collectors like to go hard on certain error types (only massively OC or MC), some like to branch out to find interesting error “classes”, e.g., cards with a rotational shift during print, cards with patches of missing ink, etc. You’re hoping to find a collector in the latter category, as a single color-translation print error is definitely not common. The condition of the card isn’t great, but that’s less of an issue for the people trying to collect this stuff.
