price check for PSA 7/8 1st Ed base zard

@rbear20 , actually looks like 2 PSA 8’s just sold for $7000 and $6500 in the last couple of days.

Do not go by last sold… Shill bidders have ended auctions but you have no idea if the item was actually paid for, I know several Psa 8s that were shill bid and not sold, basically any in the 8k range.

Not to mention there are several PSA 8s up for sale in that range right now, and have been up for sale for weeks cause they aren’t worth it… Now PSA 7s are asking $7k+

My advice is stay away from this inflation and be patient. ( March - June) An absolute sky rocket in price with no real valid reason to justify the intense increase.

You will end up overpaying for a card that will decrease in price.

I’d love to know what makes you so sure that the most iconic card in the hobby in a higher grade “will decrease in price”

These were not shill bid, hence why I gave them as an example. Also, they are probably on the lower side of the price range for what I’d expect a PSA 8 would go.

I wouldn’t be so quick to bet against one of the most sought after and iconic cards in the hobby.

I can confirm that a 7 just went for 6k here on a dutch online marketplace

(I offered him the 6k if he threw in his 3burningShadow boxes, but he told me he sold it for a clean 6k to someone else)

not really a shock, this particular card skyrocketed too much for an ugly grade (7). I value these less than base psa 10 unlim zards so it’s comforting knowing the unlim 10s outperformed 5k at least (what i paid for the 1st 7).

got the 1st 7 through facey.
