PSA 8 sold last months at $3,285 and $3,450, PSA 7 sold last month for $2700 and this month for $3200 if you add in stimulus check fever this month an 8 would probably be $4k.
I had offers 2 weeks back for $4000 and $4200 but cant say as for confirmed sales
I know about 2-3 weeks back there were sales of between 3600-3800
also a beckett 8 just sold for 3650 and usually psa 8 will earn a premium over beckett so those sales combined with my earlier offers and few priced on ebay for 5k plus currently it seems that the card could be pushing towards 4500
A $4k sale would honestly be really good! And in my opinion It may go back down a little to mid 3500 range again. I feel prices have spiked a lot with the virus and everyone happily spending that $1200 check lol
I just paid $3600 plus added in a small trade for an 8 about a couple days ago. It was a private sale that I had to go looking for myself.
Initially I was in the market for a 7, which I thought 2300-2500 was a fair price about a 3 weeks ago. But now you can’t find one that cheap anymore. They are now going for close to what an 8 was selling a month ago.
I personally think the fair price for an 8 in today’s market would be 3500-4000. But with the only 4 listings currently on eBay at 6900, 6200, 5500 and 4500, where can anyone find anything lower than 4000?
In the two months I’ve been in the market for a 1st Edition Zard, grades for 5-8 have been slightly going up and I think it’s because their prices are still “obtainable” for most. I’m just glad I was able to get mines before it reaches 5k
seems like sellers are pritty set on 4-4.5k I guess it makes sense with all these cards going up and given the prices some cards have obtained recently 4.5k seems totally believable and fair given todays market, it is a 1st edition charizard at the end of the day!! wouldnt expect much less for a card with so much historical value in the hobby. I guess it may just take time for the market to catch up, usually people prfer to beleive an itm is cheaper than it is especially when that item has increased in price rapidy

What I learned for the most part is check my few sources when I want a card. eBay. Troll and toad. A few other similar sites and just go with the best I can find posted. Sometimes i make threads here but basically it’s only good if the eBay seller happens to be here and you avoid the eBay fees paying by PayPal. But besides that you pretty much just pay what asking price is. If offers are allowed a slightly under offer is sometimes ok but don’t low ball and piss off the seller. The more you wait the more it goes up unless you get lucky as hell and find a desperate seller. This isn’t just for this card it’s for pretty much any significantly desired card. Good luck tho I can’t wait to eventually but my own 7 or 8
