Postage Facepalms

Man those are steep…

Wow. Using AusPost for express international courier (arrival within 4 business days) it costs me around $65AU to send a PSA sized package of 50-100 cards with a ton of bubble wrap.

Those prices you quote seem ridiculous. =(

If I buy direct from fedex then id be paying £80 plus but in the UK we have loads of companies that deal with all the couriers and get discounted rates which is what I use. If it wasnt for conpanies like parcel2go etc dont know what id do as I hate looking at tracking everyday to see if its been delivered or not.

Thank you for the news flash. USPS has misplaced one.

That’s hilarious.

But strictly in hindsight because it all worked out.

The only one that comes to mind is when I shipped something to another member on here, and USPS sent it to Austria instead of Australia. Luckily they eventually delivered it at the correct address.

After all my complaining, I need to commend USPS. I bought a couple of cards off eBay from someone here. They put cards in a toploader. Sealed the cards in the toploader with a label. And did not seal the envelope. I got cards.

Yeah, not even sure what the hell is going on with this package;

Wow 3 hrs to get from perth to canada! I wish…its on way to england via boat ?

Isnt there a new private company doing postal services over their for cheaper? They couldnt do any worse than auspost in service lol. Was talking to the fam recently and they mentioned something.

Sometimes I wish I could see what the packages i receive have seen since the postal services always seem to have taken them a grand adventure based on the scans, delivery time, and package condition upon arrival. They must’ve taken a detour across Middle Earth or something.

Yeah Officeworks has taken it upon themselves to start up a postal service.

I’m actually too scared to use it.

This has to be the most random tracking I’ve ever seen.

Wtf… haha. Good thing you have tracking, otherwise you would be left wondering where the item is, without knowing the kind of adventure it’s been on lol. How does the package even get processed through 3 different countries from one day to the next? USPS being USPS again lol.

Here’s my recent post office story contribution. I paid 18 bucks for 3-4 day EMS shipping on Nippon-Yasan on January 2nd. Being that it was the weekend after New Years, it’s understandable that they didn’t ship till Monday 1/4. It then takes all of last week to get to the US and through a sort facility, after which it goes to the post office for the next zip code over from where I am. That post office then decides they can’t send it from there to my house, sends it to a *different* sort facility before they deliver it to my local post office and finally to me yesterday. Total shipping/handling time: 11 days. I should’ve just saved myself some money and gone for regular shipping.

Although on the other hand, I also ended up receiving an untracked package later on in the day yesterday that I had ordered on eBay over two months ago and long since presumed was lost in transit, so I suppose at least paying for tracking is worth it.

Doesn’t it show the time where the package is, as opposed to one set place?
