Lots of great Dark type Shiftrys
like 95% of Lanturn cards are lightning type, probably because each set needs some and there are far less of those than water types to choose from.

Yeah. They even gave Gyarados a Grass weakness in the original WOTC cards, even though Gyarados wouldn’t actually be weak to Grass due to its Flying type, but would be double weak to Lightning. And to make it even more bizarre, they did give Gyarados a resistance to Fighting, as a nod to its part Flying type.
It’s not even the only one. That said, if it’s good enough for the Guardian of the seas it’s good enough for this coal furnace.
Grimer and muk have exactly the same story with typing than koffing and weezing and i love how it makes my binder look!
But cards that i was thinking that fit this thread, not sure if the dragon ones count since there wasn’t dragon type cards during those eras but i’m going to be dangerous and add them anyway
Ive always felt Grimer and Muk were like cousins to Koffing and Weezing
