Thoughts on the poncho pikas? I really like the karp & Gary ones same with the rayquaza ones. But I’ve never seen them in person.

Everyone always talks about the full art ones, but the half-art promos are just as cool to me. There’s also a ton of cosplay pikachu cards
If there’s any card shows/conventions near you, that’s a good way to see some really nice cards in-person 
Usually some booths will have some nice cards on display

They are really great cards! The Gyarados one is my favorite by far, but the others look awesome too. I also quite like the Pretend Team Skull card.
I don’t own any of the Poncho Pikas but they are on my list…working through some other expensive cards before I think about using money for those also expensive cards

I absolutely love the poncho Pikachus for their artwork. But… they came at a time that i was not yet actively collecting Japanese and then i waited too long to pick them up at a bargain; so they are some of the biggest holes burning in my Pikachu card binder today

Huge fan of these cards as well and lucky to own some. They really knocked it out of the park with a lot of these promos, and like @philzcardz I totally love a lot of the non full art promos. Especially Sapporo’s Pikachu!

Thankfully I was lucky and acquired all the pretend pikas, mario crossover and poncho boxes on release. They all still sit in their minty factory sealed boxes in my collection.
It’s insane how much they’ve continued to rise and rise in value.

While Mario is definitely more popular, I do think luigi pika has the better art.
Well except for Pikachu itself, the background art is kind of bad on all these cosplay cards to be honest. I prefer the Mario one because it at least looks like Pikachu is leaping out of the background rather than the Luigi one where it just looks like its floating in space against a random Japanese backdrop.

If you got the money, buy them. Don’t look at as an investment, buy because they’re god damn beautiful.

Hey that’s a fair point. I like luigi pika better because the L emblem is visible.
I’m hoping in the future there are more Nintendo cross overs. A PikaZelda and PikaLink will be cool.
