I’m still looking to finish my poncho box set. I still need the Charizard X, magikarp and vulpix. Mainly focusing on getting the Charizard X. I’m looking to spend around $225 but price can be negotiated

I ordered a poncho gyarados box a month ago and the seller cancelled yesterday. Ordered one from another seller and they cancelled. The box you’re looking for is really awesome. Good luck finding one

Agreed!! Could only get the rayquaza and the mega charizard y ones, Hoping to get the other ones someday, have been discouraged by the cancellations.
Do you consider the Mario/Luigi pikachu boxes as part of the set?
That’s so funny. Those are the only ones I have besides the mario luigi.ones. I consider them part of that set although they are cosplay and not poncho. The team skull grunt one also. I was able to buy a couple weeks ago
I’ve been interchanging cosplay and poncho this entire time so I just lump them all together haha. Do you know how many of these boxes there are in total? Like you said they’re really awesome, from the box design down the the contents inside,

I am not sure on the supply. I last time I checked the psa 10 mario box had 400ish in the population report. I’m gonna go for a magikarp box also. I’m just trying to go for the Charizard X first. I’ll check the pop reports again right now.
Oh I meant just the number of different kinds of boxes haha. Sorry about that. The pop report is actually really interesting as well. I graded the Mario/luigi set almost a year ago and wasn’t aware of the poncho cards at the time, now thinking about whether to buy and grade the cards as well. The raw cards + sealed boxes together is so expensive haha
As far as cosplay/poncho pikachu boxes that I know of. There are Charizard Y, Charizard X, Rayquaza, Magikarp/Gyarados, Vulpix, Mario, Luigi and Team Skull there are also the Tokyo DX and the pokemon center Yokohama box.
I have been able to obtain all in PSA 10 besides both vulpix and the team skull grunt. For the sealed boxes I recently ordered the vulpix so that leaves me with Charizard X and Magikarp box

Thank you so much! I wasn’t aware of a few of these like the Tokyo DX and the Yokohama box. My bank account wishes I stayed ignorant about those. Sorry, I’ve been mainly collecting cards from 10-15 years prior and am slowly learning about these Japanese promos!
Searching for binder set pictures makes me really want to obtain one as well!

I’m just curious how long you’ve been working on these? Obtaining the boxes + graded cards + binder set must take quite a while. I like grading cards on my own so I’m curious about a timescale
I bought my first poncho pikachu card late 2018 (rayquaza poncho) but I bought all of them graded. I recently sent some cards for.the first time to PSA through ludkins in February and they’re still stuck there until 
but I’m excited for whenever they come back. It’s crazy how the prices have gone up since I started collecting them, it is harder for me to finish my set haha hope they don’t go up by the time i can buy lol

Yes seriously! I remember what I paid for the Mario/Luigi pikachu cards and it’s been quite a cognitive dissonance telling myself to finish these up knowing how much they were from 2018/2019 and how much im paying now!
I’m really budget crunched so I’m trying to be pragmatic about what to buy and what purchases (if any) can wait for later. So just using patience in buying raw cards (nearmint lol) to make up for my budget constraints. It’s really fun to buy and grade cards. Hope you have a wonderful first experience grading!

You motivated me to dig around some more and found some additional cards like the fiesta pikachu promo that I wish I knew about before.
I have the same feeling!!! That so funny. I paid almost 3x for the Charizard X than I did for the Y but that’s what I get for putting it off for so long. Same with the boxes. I am prioritizing them #1 in my collection goals, I had even looked up other poncho cards that I need and I find myself extending my collection goals Haha.
I hope you are able to achieve your collection goals. I also started drifting into collecting some battle festa promos and that’s gonna be Challenge for me. I will have to start saving because I also am on a budget but I’m really happy with where I’ve gotten so far
Nice display! I got the same thing Don’t forget about the full boss Pikachu (or it’s out of the picture?), and Yokohama set! The boxes are a great display! I just can’t keep my stuff sealed anymore lol

Those look great. I recently started recollecting these boxes after ordering my son a bunch of these years ago. Currently only have Team Skull, Tokyo DX, and thr Yokohama box. Waiting for a little more dough to get the rest; hopefully prices don’t go much higher as its already tough to swallow getting these when they were hundreds of dollars cheaper vs now. Cest la vie.
