PokeRev Box Opening Videos

I forget what thread it was in but someone was saying they thing with this whole economy going down that boxes will come down in price and I had to disagree cause of people doing box breaks and raffles and thats really what drives these boxes up besides yes over time one is opened then there is one less in the world yes I know but nothing affects the value like these openings. It just seems people are always willing to pay extreme prices for box fresh packs even though 95% of the time they lose money opening the pack. As long as people are still willing to do this then the boxes will keep going up cause I mean the base box pack price was $150 per pack so $5400 all together. Im sure they can just go buy another base box for $4300-$4500 and rinse and repeat. And if the price for the boxes go up then they will just raise the price per pack. I see youtube box openings as the legal alternative to raffles lol. I mean I remember when @jcincy101, single handily spiked the neo get 1st boxes. lol that was crazy and it was cause before him no one ever sold neo gen 1st packs at the price he was selling them at then once everyone saw that it was possible to move them at the prices he had them at then they want it on it to and it only goes up from there lol.

I love watching these box breaks trying to get a better understanding of pull rates. Especially these ex boxes. I know standard holo’s was 1 in 3 packs but I’m still learning all the rates of ex cards etc. For information my favorite videos are Smpratte. For openings is PokeRev. I do enjoy some Z and G Emporium or TCA Gaming here here and there. Lionheart. Breaking Nate. And unlisted leaf are all pretty good and they get super hype but its mostly directed to younger kids I believe and the new cards I don’t get much enjoyment from seeing opened. I wouldn’t mind seeing videos of people hunt single cards down or opening mail videos of singles they recently bought. That would make good videos

I think the best part of the video is the comment section jabbing at Rusty for not being overwhelmed by the Charizard, only for him to reply with, ā€œfeelings are only a theory, like gravity.ā€

Legendary stuff

Rusty should be the commentator that analyzes other peoples openings while the final putt of the masters is about to be had.

Wouldn’t be the same without it though!

Love this guy and his vids!

TCA as well! Two of my favorites on YouTube

Stil baffled people buy unweighed packs. Then again people still go to the casino.

I remember pokerev coming onto the scene with 2 1st ed base set boxes and some amazing psa returns. He had some incredible luck with his PSA grading when he first started. Does anyone know how he got started? he talked about doing storage unit bidding and other stuff. I’m wondering if it was just happen stance that he stumbled upon pokemon or if he took his money from somewhere else and started his pokemon business.

He talked about it with PokemonRadar, you can find it on YouTube.

He bought a stores old inventory that basically sets anyone up for life.

PokeRev is one of my top 3 favorite collectors/YouTubers in the hobby! Love his style.

Bought into his collection. It was a business first and for most, and the collection filled in between. Explains his business model he has going too. Very efficient because it’s the main plan!
