After personally confirming my Corrected Blaines Charizard Theory coming from the single country code unlimited gym challenge boxes by opening one live on instagram, I have decided to move on to my next theory. I already brought this up in discord and it lead to a healthy debate. However, I am not yet sold on this theory being “debunked”
I have reason to believe the base set No Stage Error Blastoise come from unlimited Green Wing Booster Boxes. Here is my reasoning:
Due to the assumed scarcity/rarity of green wing boxes vs blue wing and corrected blastoise vs error blastoise, I see a potential correlation of these two items. We have not yet seen a no stage error blastoise pulled on video (correct me if i am wrong). I believe one of these was pulled recently and oddly enough soon after someone publicly opened a Green Wing box to sell packs (in addition to the one or two on ebay at the time).
Also, the unlimited print run in the green wing boxes would stand out as the “first print” unlimited cards, which would make this print run much more likely to obtain an error such as this one.
I have pulled 5-7 blastoise from long packs and from packs originally from blue wing boxes that i opened, but only to find the corrected version.
I doubt I will ever open a box to test this theory since my buy in cost for these green wing boxes is much higher than it was for the unlimited gym challenge I had. But maybe one day we will see this happen.
It’s already confirmed false. The card is pulled from regular base boxes. If for some reason they are also in green wing boxes, alright. But they are present in normal base boxes. Gary opened over 100 normal boxes and pulled multiple Error Blastoise.
