I think it would be hard to distinguish real demand vs hype in most cases no, at least this early? I mean this is a few months long event, eventually things will settle down and we get a more clear idea of the scope of the event. We don’t even know of this is an English only release card. Either ways it is hard to deny that the actual artwork and what it represents is pretty special.

All plush and bags were sold out in minutes. Again a great example of a place not knowing what they can expect. Nothing new.
I hoped I would get a plush but bad luck.
Outside and inside many people asking to buy the promocard.
I bought the keyrings for my sons.

Yes in English and in Dutch ( the whole museum is in those 2 languages)

I would have thought that they would anticipated the demand for them. Hopefully it doesn’t translate over to the availability of the promo card as well.
How’s the reaction from the public to those requests to buy the promo card? Any observations?

They are restocking merchandise each day. That’s what was told when I asked how I could get 1 plush. The cards are one each person and they will figure out how to do it better.
I only will give my reaction on a buy request:
"I collect longer than you are living, so no I don’t sell it.

Looks like It’s luckily not too crowded.
How are they distributing the Promo cards? Is there a person at the section handing them out?
I’m going on the 9th at 9:15am. Can pick you up a plush if you havent already got one by then.

It’s not to crowded because of the timeslots, You can get the promo after turning in the forms. They stamp it, so you won’t be able to use it another time.
I don’t know if you can get a new treasure hunt paper.

I might go another time to pick up a promo for my other son. It’s only a 30 minutes drive for me. But thnx for the offer.
They told me the plush will also be available in the online shop, but for now nothing to find.

Forgot they will be stocked online too! No worries. 
How are the prints fairing in the shop? I really want to pick up the sunflowers/sunflora print when I’m there.
I was around 10 in the shop and there was only Tshirt/postcards/pencils left.
When we left I saw the keyrings in the other shop, I haven’t seen anything else (beside people with arms full of plush)
Van gogh is my favourite artist and i have similar art board of the original “the bedroom” from years ago when i visited the museum, i’m glad that they made the boards of pokemon art too but let’s see what price these will hold on secondary market, would love one to go with the original
