Scarlet and Violet have officially surpassed Gold and Silver to become the third highest selling game(s), behind only Sword and Shield and Red/Blue/Green.

Unless I am reading this incorrectly, these sales are only accounting for release date through December of 2023, meaning nothing from this year is totaled.

As of Nov 18 (2 years since its release), Scarlet and Violet have sold more copies in Japan than Red and Green at 8.3 million units. It is unclear atm if they have surpassed SWSH in total units, though I wouldnt be surprised to see this happen soon.

Very close they’re trailing by around 700k at the end of September 2024, but clearly in #3 above Gold & Silver
