Will the new game be more like a traditional pokemon game or Legends Arceus I wonder?
Very excited for this and totally didn’t expect it. I thought it was going to be something about Detective Pikachu when the clip first started. I kinda thought they won’t be releasing another Pokemon game this year as Arceus already came out in January.
I really like the grass and fire starters but as always I want to see the final evolutions before I make any decisions, but these look very promising. Definitely a step forward from Galar starters.

I can’t be the first to notice this, but I really wonder if this won’t be a soft-reset of the series.
Because it’s what people want.
I think it’s why Pokemon Go was so successful. It feltlike you were living in Pokeland with pokemon on your kitchen table that you could catch, or in the woods near your house. It felt alive.
Similarly, BOTW is open, lush and just fun to explore. That’s the vision most people have for Pokemon.
Imo it’s a mistake to make the main franchise games use the standard model/format of exploring the overworld being disconnected from catching/battling. We want seamlessly integrated experiences. It’s time to move on.
Theyre games for 7 yr olds. They don’t have to be good they have to be accessible. Botw is a game thats so open ended it would totally stump children if it was a pokemon game. Im sure when they come out kids are going to go wild for it. What grinds my gears about nintendo is that they have no intention of putting older games on the switch and then go hard legally against ppl who emulate.

If this is like Legends Arceus, I will stop buying the games.
I LOOOVE the new legendarys, the regular Pokemon looks great as well. Im so happy Sword and Shield is coming to and end soon
I think and hope the final evolutions to these 3 will be better than Sword and Shield. I want Quaxly to be Don Quixote inspired so badly
Hard pass for me until they actually update the combat.
They made an improvement with Arceus’ catching mechanic, however it’s a case of 1 step forward 2 steps back with GF.

Pokémon being Pokémon the ultimate in making water is wet arguments to effort in making quality in games. In other words, they are so consistent with making tedious, starter-level games more than their golden era that they light the torch in making games to give you the hint to actually move on and no longer keep in touch. So yeah, take what you like if it’s a certain character design that’s already been done before, but expect the same usual the more things change:
