Pokemon Meetup?

Since many of us, myself included, are unlikely to go to a gathering in the US during the pandemic, would people ever be down for a skype/zoom hangout? Outside of the few times some of us have been at Worlds, it’d be cool to put more faces to people’s names.

Alternatively, we could also have a Picture thread dedicated to us as people and things we do inside and outside of collecting (didn’t we have a post your picture thread years ago?).

On the off chance any E4 members live in Lee or Collier County FL, I would be down to meetup and get a beer outdoors or something.

Floridian here:) One day we’ll meet up. I’ve missed the past several Worlds so I’ve feel I’ve been missing out. But maybe after this has blown over, we will.

Yes! This is a great compromise. I would love to have a beer once the pandemic is over, but for now a skype/zoom hangout would be perfect.

I’m also on board with this! I’m sure there are a lot of other people that would join this too! I don’t know how many people would be too many, but perhaps someone can host/plan some days and times of the week. maybe sign up for certain days so there isn’t over 40 people or something in a call, probably need a new thread to post this to and get some other input. The discord server is another idea, we can share camera feeds there too

Had the pleasure of meeting @hyruleguardian yesterday. It was fantastic knowing that other pokemon trainers live so close to me. I’ve also met @7171 and @joer a few times as well. Joer is actually a very good friend of mine.
Would anyone in the northeast (U.S.) like to go out and have a social distancing beer? Worlds isn’t happening this year and I feel like that’s where a lot of people on here go to socialize with each other. Since we are robbed of Worlds, let’s all grab dinner or something! What say you?!

As someone who lives in an 8 figure home and has 6 figures in assets, I can’t say I approve of meetups in these trying times. Look where we were 6 months ago compared to now. Will you be wearing proper PPE and always remaining 6 feet apart when you go out for that social distance beer? Personally, I’m not in the market for Covid-19 but if you are, more power to you. In any case, this Subject Title is a tad bit disingenuous in that the pokemon meetup already happened and @chavycat just wanted to flex meeting up with @hyruleguardian and others.

Absolutely. Nearly everybody that comes to visit we meet up at the M Resort/Casino in the south/west part of the valley.

Damn you Tyler! I’ve been pushed back a year on visiting. My honeymoon was pushed to next summer, so my Vegas trip is now the following summer after that. Damn COVID…
