The ex series is almost finished. There are still the holos to get but those will come in time.

I was/am still going for a complete PSA 10 English BW/XY FA & SR collection. I think I always planned to stop buying new releases once this design era ended. I might take a year off after i get my bachelors to square away my finances and maybe collect more.

I like it, I still think we’re going to see textured full arts in S/M. At least there isn’t font covering the body of the pokemon

I think they look better than the previous EX cards. Definitely better than M and Break cards.

I am not a big fan of everything cgi, but at least there isn’t a bunch of unnecessary garbage on the card.

I am with @smpratte on this one, especially with regards to mega EX cards, I find breaks to be a nice change however despite them not being at all desirable or well designed imo. Unfortunately I doubt I will be pursuing any new sets, I regret starting xy FA/UR for binders but I’m too deep into it to stop now haha. I miss the wow factor of the oldschool ex cards to be honest but I think that comes down to how many UR and SR cards we see per set as well as the poor designs. I think we will see textured FA cards retained at least in the form of gold border UR cards.

Solgaleo card looks freakin awesome imo. But I can’t say I do not like this new expansion until I physically have a card in my hands. I feel like the photos do not do the cards any justice. They might look epic once the holo is glistening in our faces.
