Event organizers under estimate what capacity they need.
I’ve never been to a large scale event with proper coverage. They always cutting corners on expenses, never having over capacity. It was doomed to fail.
On other note; my phone gave me 6 warnings for the Go World event and all I had in my area were 6 Hoothoots. I miss Pidgey and Ratata =(

Seriously tho what did you expect, Niantic have managed to fuck up everything since the launch of the game - I was gonna be surprised if the event went smoothly…
I kinda think they should have done player versus player pokemon battles and trading first instead of releasing the legendaries.

don’t think they’ll introduce trading personally…people would exploit the system
As long as there are spoofers you cant introduce trading

UPDATE: They are offering all 20,000 people refunds, $100 worth of poke coins and Lugia in our pokedex by the end. Diameters have been expanded to two miles away from the park so anyone with the QR code can play outside of Grand Park until Monday.
I’m writing this as I get signal and lose signal. Also, there are no wifi stations at the event. We have been surviving on ATT wifi at the corner of the main stage gym

So far Articuno is nearly impossible, fight starts and it crashes
