So when I was younger, like somewhat 15 years ago, my dad randomly gave me this. It was around the time pokemon silver was barely out. I’ve kept them in NM condition, possible gem mint, there’s no scuffs, no marks, i’ve never taken them out of the wallets and they came packaged as is. You’d think they’d be worth something after 15 years right?..well I looked it up on ebay and they’re going for brand new £24.99. It’s like, after 15 years how are these still being distribution lol and why is there no psa ones available, is it worth getting them psa graded? I looked up on ebay the english alternative and single cards are going for £1.75. Are they really worthless after all this time?
I mean look at this, £2.49? Really?
Ray, I think this belongs in price and market discussion. Same with the Action Flipz. This section is for people to showcase their collection. They usually update the 1 thread whenever they have something interesting to show us.
It’s funny you bring this up, as there’s a seller that gave me 4 Neo Genesis Japanese cards as a gift and I thought I struck gold when I saw no rarity symbols, but it turns out they’re just promo cards released in a binder similar to yours.
I am guessing these were mass produced similar to other promo cards so they are not worth very much.
The Charizard is worth $40+ in PSA 10. I don,t know about the other cards.
Oh right, mod please move this please!
Yea I figured they must of been massed produced if they’re still going around lol
Most Japanese cards are… except for a few oddities/trophies.
It seems it’s better to sell these individually than the complete set… It looks like your Charizard is off centered so it might not score a 10. The 9s are about $20. The Pichu is also a $30 card in PSA 10.
There’s a PSA 10 Entei that sold for $85(wtf?). Most other copies have been in the $10 range… So It looks like you still have a little value here.
Does anyone else think these hold any market value? I found one psa 10 japanese charizard for £50
I’m just wondering cos i could really do with the money right now but wondering if it’s worth getting them psa graded as that eats into the profit alot. From the picture I think we can agree they’re definitely at least psa 9, hopefully all 10s. They have no defects whatsoever and have never been taken out of the plastic wallets (they also came that way when i bought it brand new, already in the folder).
Are these worth enough to sell? I can’t seem to find many on ebay, that’s either a good or bad thing.
Here’s a page with alot of psa 10s on, seems £40-£50 if they’re psa 10, psa 9 drops them to about £15 which isnt worth it imo. It feels risky because if I don’t get a psa 10 back, then i’ve wasted £11.99 (with ludkins psa service) sending it to be graded and actually would spend more than i get back. If i sold all 9 at £450 (£50 each) - £107.91 (cost of graded) - £67.05 (ebay/paypal fees) - £9.90 (p&p) = £265.14 profit. That’s not bad, nothing to squeal at.

As I said before, your Charizard seems a bit off centered. I’d give it a 9. It’s about a $20 card, and I don’t think it’s going to grow very much… Also the 10s have been selling for $40. Check sold listings for actual value… this guy has listed it at quite a markup. Grade if you’re guaranteed a 10, otherwise it’s not really worth it.
You can sell the 3 reverse holo cards individually and perhaps try to bundle the eevolutions and uknown, whatever these are worth.
Btw I just edited the costs, as i was wrong with the cost of grading and the fees. Seems a shame doesn’t it, they must of been mass produced to be worth so little. How long do I have to wait lol another 50 years, i’ll be dead.
