Interesting data point ā this would techically be considered light, though, since the Unown holos in Unseen Forces replace the reverse holo.

finally weighed all my ex dragon frontiers packs. i have two weight classes - packs that are in the 15g range and another in the 17g ranges. looks like there is only one data on so far in the excel.
15.32g is my lightest pack. Other potential light packs are 15.41, 15.45, 15.4, 15.47, 15.48. the maybe heavies are 15.68, 15.74, 15.81, 15.84. the only verified pack in the spreadsheet shows a confirmed HOLO pull from a 15.64g pack.
17.40 is my lightest from the 17g tier packs. other potential light packs are 17.46, 17.49, 17.51, 17.56, 17.57. the heavier packs are 17.79, 17.65, 17.63, 17.59. The distribution of these are quite tight, no big separation. only .39g difference between heaviest and lightest. the 15g packs have a larger range at .52g.
in short, NOT SURE WHAT THIS ALL MEANS. Iāve never opened these packs since I am not the type to crack open packsā¦

In all seriousness ā interesting info. All that you can conclude (almost) absolutely is that the packs ranging from 15.32g to 15.48g are going to be light and that the packs 17.4g to 17.57g packs are going to be light. I would also be be pretty sure that the 15.81g and 15.84g packs are heavy, but itās technically possible that there are more than two weight classes? Like maybe thereās a weight class where 15.8g is light is 16.3g is heavy. I doubt it, but it wouldnāt be that surprising if something like that was true. Iād also be pretty confident that the 17.79g pack is heavy. If it isnāt, then it would be a bizarre outlier pack from some super heavy print run lol.
Birthday present from my wife was a single heavy pack from DAC world and a 3 pack + brushfire themedeck blister from troll and toad. Decided to open the blister to see if the packs were tampered with in any way. Turned out to be legit!

Anyone know what is heavy for a base set Japanese pack? Iāve seen 17g
Any weight information on Unleashed packs?
We donāt have data yet on any sets after Supreme Victors, but weād love to add some if anyone has it. Any weight data on EX through HGSS sets is pure gold because no one seems to open those sets (although we are of course also very appreciative of any WotC data, too!).
Speaking of which: I have ~10 EX Dragon packs in transit to me right now ā any that are 17.3 or above I will be opening. Cāmon people; open some packs. These things were meant to be opened!
EDIT: also, someone buy and open the 17.4g EX Dragon pack thatās on eBay before I do lol. That thing should be heavy ā the loose packs Iāve owned have all been 17.2g and below. Any price below $300 for it would be a great buy, IMO.
Just got five EX Dragon packs in the mail:
They range from 17.14 to 17.36 (the second heaviest happens to be 17.33). Now, the question is whether or not to open the heaviest one. Incidentally, the heaviest one incidentally is from the same seller I got Sandstorm packs from several months ago (one of which turned out to be heavy). IIRC, the heavy Sandstorm pack was 17.34g. Given that Dragon was the set directly after Sandstorm and had very similar holo and reverse holo foiling, Iām thinking that 17.36g is likely going to have a holo. We donāt have any data yet for EX Dragon, though. Anyone have any experience with EX Dragon packs?
If someone else commits to also opening an EX Series pack for science, I will open the heaviest Dragon pack for science

Such a BEAUTIFUL cardā¦amaziiiinngggggggggg. Except for one issue: all of the cards in the pack had a slight bend in one corner:
The front card was by far the most affected, but my poor, poor Latios is also a victim:
It doesnāt seem to be a crease, but I imagine that it would max out at a PSA 6 now? 
. Fucking sucks because it otherwise looks like a 10 to me.
Oh well. Still a super sweet pull ā if my avatar serves as any indication, Latios is also my co-favorite Pokemon . Although my favorite card from this set is actually the Dragonite ex, Latios is up there. So a great experience anyway. Do people think I should bother grading it? Thereās a zero percent chance Iām selling it, but I do need this card for my PSA 10 set. I could try with BGS or CGC maybe?
Anyway, other good news is that this was only my second heaviest pack . So I have 17.36g pack still, which Iām going to assume is likely heavy. Still unsure if I want to open it, though I probably will.
And who says you canāt get legitimately unweighed vintage packs in 2020!!!
