Hi everyone. I’ve been observing the conversations on efour as part of learning about the hobby. I just got back into it this March (great timing…huh?). I purchased a few “unweighed” packs on eBay this summer and I was going to keep them sealed. Today I really got the itch to open one up so I opened my heaviest pack. It was an Unlimited Neo Discovery that weighed in at 20.98 grams. I pulled a holo Scizor!

Thought this post would be useful for this thread and couldn’t have thought of a better first post to this community than posting about my first WOTC pack opening since the early 2000’s.

Is the sheet available to see? There is a 12g swing from my lightest to my heaviest base booster box which should all be Unlimited. I’d like to try and to some detective work!

12g is not too surprising. Because Base packs from different print runs can vary by up to ~.4g each – so that could easily account for a 12g difference between boxes.

Hey - I’m new to the forum and I’ve opened a lot of WOTC 1st edition packs lately and I’d like to contribute what my findings have been on weights.
