I’m struggling to find the actual completed auction page outside of Instagram, so I’m wondering how people here would treat this sale. Is the Pokecolor result considered reliable as a comp, and has anyone seen the actual auction result through the Pokecolor app or elsewhere?
I’m also curious why the public data is so far apart here. Is the $17.2k result likely a bad/misreported sale, or is there something else going on with how these sales are being tracked?
The PokeColor auction is definitely more accurate (ballpark). I’ve seen sale ads on IG for 160-185k without immediately selling though.
The 17k eBay listing was very likely fake. No one with an actual copy genuinely for sale would list that low. It was the only listing from a random seller in France, with publicly available PSA scans and no real pictures
What would you all think about the JPN PSA 10 Unlimited version that is more common than the 1st? I tried to do some research to see what the price differences are out of curiosity, but I am seeing 0 sales pretty much of that card.
It may be more common via pop report but, afaik, the unlimited copies are more rare for this set.. but I could be wrong?
I’ve almost never seen an unlimited Clash of the Blue Sky pack, however I’ve seen a handful of first ed packs in the 7ish years since I’ve restarted collecting.
This was solely based on this information: Gold Star Rayquaza Japanese - #5 by fourthstartcg
I do notice personally it is much easier to find a 1st ed GS ray JPN on places like ebay and auction houses vs an unlimited one, but I have no data so I do not want to assume, especially when fourthstartcg confirmed it.
