Overcharging for shipping

ebay charges fees on the shipping, then Paypal double dips again with the fees. Plus fuel to drive the item to the post office, Seriously you’re complaining about $2.50?

…and again the charge says “Shipping and HANDLING”, if they’re a store owner they have to pay an employee as well as cost of running the store. That is what the “handling” goes to.

also factor in things such as perhaps having to drive to the post office etc which costs petrol money along with the cost of box, packaging etc then that’s a fair deal

This is really annoying me.
You spend money on something then cry about it at home. What happened to sucking it up and taking personal responsibility for your actions and decisions? STHU.

The op is fine and I’m speaking generally.

They do?

I’ve reported outrageous shipping costs as fee avoidance. I was wrong?

Yep, 10%, they do that to prevent fee avoidance lol

Ebay charges fees on the total purchase cost (sold price + shipping) so you were, but you should still report it if it’s something silly like a $0.99 item and $99 shipping.
