I think this will be my favorite set of 2022.

I’ve been a PoGo player since launch and have only recently gotten into the cards. I am liking this set overall mostly for the references and tie-ins with the game. I haven’t gotten a Ditto yet but that seems like a really neat thing to do. And a lot of the art just feels like it ties in with the game somehow.
The logo stamp can die in a fire though. That was a dumb thing to do.

that’s a great point, PoGo and Astral Radiance too have some incredibly playable cards. From PoGo I’m liking the SolTone too, as well as the Mewtwo V/ VSTAR. Trying to build a deck around accelerating energy to Mewtwo, discarding for damage and then using the soltone to pull them back out of discard. I’ve also seen some turbo Dialga VSTAR decks built around the PoGo Blastoise’s attach 6 energy ability. newer sets really upping the tempo lol

I just opened my first Pokemon Go box for the Japanese mail day. I had a lot of fun opening it because it feels like the set tells a story.

I knew most the Pokemon in the set. There is a clear focus on gens I-IV.

It gives me Vending Series vibes because location plays a important role in each card’s identity.

It felt like a WOTC set in that the regular holos are just as important as full arts. I would almost say they are more important since the V, VSTAR and VMAX are generic and lack a PoGo theme. Exception for the alt arts.

I think Radiant Eevee and Venusaur are awesome. …not so much Radiant Blastoise and Charizard. I think the Ditto card is amazing as well. I just wish the Ditto pull rates were better in English. I assumed the set was to encourage PoGo players to get into the TCG, but the pull rates seem more like they’re encouraging TCG players to try Pokemon Go again.

I personally loved the set. Besides me being a pogo player I really liked the pokemon they choose but hate the pull rates on the english sets compared to the japanese ones. the Pogo set does have some interesting playable cards for decks especially mewtwo v/vstar

I’ve enjoyed opening both JP and EN product so far. The SRs in the set are mostly CGI artwork which I’m not a big fan of, but for Go players I imagine it becomes nostalgic and relatable. The set overall has the usual SRs that have fun to pull such as gold vstars and FA trainers. The extra radiant cards have unique texture and may potentially shape the TCG meta in the long run. Overall a 7/10 set for me in terms of quality.
I don’t love this set but at least I’ll be able to complete it for a reasonable price

I’ve been watching the Japanese market on errors and this set has a lot of misalignment misprints, the big 3 and eevee being the chase cards of course. The price of these cards has dropped as more are coming up. I’ve never seen so many misprints from a Japanese release

I’ve seen a relief misprint Charizard sell up to $1500. But it hasn’t quite held. The greater the offset distance the more its worth.
Edit: some Japanese for searching: 加工ズレ (processing deviation helpful for looking for frame shifts, or misalignments)

I’ve had an awesome experience opening a pogo box with a few friends!
None of my friends open or collect Pokemon but they all had a ton of fun!
And they were overjoyed when I told one of them to peel a spinarak and it turned into a ditto!!

This is what its all about! I opened a box myself and its so good for people who played Pokemon Go. I plan on opening some with friends who play pogo, mainly to get the ditto!

It’s a fun and unique set. I like the variation of cards. Japanese wins every time though.

I love this set. Super cute and fun. My girlfriend and I opened some packs and paused every time sowsow came up. I peeled a Bidoof and stuck it on my phone case and people at the airport are already noticing

I like it. It’s not the most amazing thing ever but I think it fits the Pokemon Go theme well. And being such a small set I might actually try to get a full set because it doesn’t seem to be too difficult to do.
