Personally I go with KMC perfect Fit + Ultra Pro Penny Sleeve. I never thought that double sleeving was disregarded by Pokémon hobby’s elite.
The holofoils could contain magnetic particles but you should put the card in a MRI to see a visible damage. Common magnets are 100% safe.
Taking card in and out any sleeves can damage card, and the more you do it the more likely it is for the card to get damage or do more damage like white nicks it corners. I just did it just now because I had cards in binder in dragon shield sleeves apart from one in a etb sleeve. I was taking it in and out seeing which one looks better and the dragon shield damage it the most. Especially on the front side edge when sliding in, I notice that the most. Dragon shield seem stronger and tighter too then etb sleeves. I was being less careful , careful putting it in but less carful sliding it to bottom after a few times.
I also believe we used perfect fit so you don’t damage cards when putting it in and out off sleeves and I think it works, but then people say you get the same problem when it comes to taking off the perfect fits.
Edit But penny sleeves seem to be good. Especially in toploaders and card savers
