OC Base Set Charizard?

Recently purchased a charizard that looks OC, was just wondering if you think PSA would give it the OC grade.

It looks very OC, but PSA rarely gives the OC grade. Most likely, it will just be pushed down like 2 grades.

Do you think its worth sending in to psa then or should I just keep it as a binder card/toploader card?

Keep it in the binder. Why?

  1. PSA does a terrible job at giving out the OC qualifier for non-sports cards
  2. PSA graded MC, OC or other qualifiers rarely fetch a higher price if you aim at selling
  3. You either way out $20 for getting it graded
    Also ask yourself the question “Will I be happy with a PSA6 or less OC Charizard?” If the answer is ‘no’; binder it.

Even if this card was pristine, it would never fetch a PSA9. PSA8 is the best you gonna have, unless you get that one employee at PSA that uses it’s brain and see it’s meeting the OC qualifier, and slaps a PSA9(OC) on it, and the second grader agrees on that.
