Hello everyone Im new to efour and I’ve made a few transaction with some members on here already! I wanted to get opinions on this card as it tends to not be near mint but more towards lightly played to medium play and I havent gotten the picture of the back yet, just wondering what you guys think would be a fair offer if I was to inquire about this particular card as Im not sure if itll get like a 4OC grade which does that make worth paying a premium for such a damaged card that I think is kind of niche…
I’m not sure but I don’t think that 4oc exists as a grade because the of grade is for cards who are at a certain condition but are centred so badly that it drops a grade. The parameters allowed for centring change to allow a card to be more OC the further down the grades you got so when you are down at like 4 in order for a card to be OC it gas to Be in psa 5 condition but have the centring of a 4 which is very OC anyway. Not sure if this makes sense but I think that’s how it works.
A card slightly more off center went for 1k about 3 months ago. It may have been the most miscut Charizard I’ve seen. It was also below NM condition.
PSA is reluctant to give lower OC grades for Pokemon cards. I’ve seen these grades on older sports cards, but rarely Pokemon. I will see lower MC grades for Pokemon. These cases are so obvious that a grade other than an MC qualifier would be odd. Most notably the Base Gyarados 5 MC on eBay. I would not put this card in the MC category.
I certainly wouldn’t pay a premium for this… woolsluk explained the situation pretty well. If the card was absolutely flawless or close it might be a 6-7 OC or something, but at this point it’s so beat up I don’t know what grade to give it. The back is most likely pretty rough as well.
You’re looking at a PSA 2-3? Whatever these are worth. There are plenty of Zards in the $500-1000 range that look 100 times better. I wouldn’t touch, but if you want it pay as little as possible.
