Thought it would be helpful have a thread where we can compile notable unpaid auction results. May be helpful when you think you remember an auction result, but can’t find it anywhere…
It may be difficult to confirm if an item has been relisted from a non-payment vs. being flipped quickly, so judgement will need to be used.
Example of Glaceon Lvl X PSA 10. This $21,000 result does not appear in sold history so can assume it was unpaid and relisted.

Has this been relisted again yet?
Lol over 3x the normal price. Anecdotally, I also had a relatively high end comic from my vault sell on the 19th and go unpaid at a high price. Wonder if fanatics got trolled
Cards that have not yet been paid for should not be listed in the “sold listings”.
Why is that so hard?

I already see the high end card IG influencers trying to use these fake sales to justify higher prices for their cards. Seems planned

Are there any consqeuences for unpaid auctions such as these? Why would people actively bid huge sums of money on a grail and then not pay?

You get banned from the platform.

ppl trolling the pwcc fixed priced listings. genuine question do ppl actually look for stuff on there over say ebay
i went through it once…once. Its all a big joke. Everything is listed astronomically high or was when I looked that one time.

Lots of people would quickly trade an auction house ban for multiple thousands in extra profits.
Even more people would take that deal if their friend is the one getting banned for them.

Apologies for another question (ive never used an auction house) but why would a ban for an unpaid sale lead to multiple thousands in extra profits?
Profits for who?

In this case…IG influencers were using the shilled price points as a way to increase the prices on their own listings.
What a dishonest world we live in…

i don’t understand why these platoforms do not just make it public information when something goes unpaid for?
would save a lot of hassle and speculation…

This Art Academy Tangrowth was not paid for in the December Art Academy lot and is selling again on Sunday. Some of the other art academies went for stronger than expected prices (e.g., Kecleon, Chespin).
Edited to remove accusatory language.

This Design Contest Arceus was shilled in a December auction and a January auction and is relisted for a third time on Sunday. Likely shilled again.
