Non-Gold Star EX booster box value

Hi there,

Is $2500 a fair valuation for and EX booster box that comes from a non-gold star set? I understand they were printed less than WOTC boxes, but more and more of these boxes are listed for the same value as a 1st Edition WOTC box.

Is there a specific one you have in mind? Ruby & Sapphire,Sandstorm, Dragon, Team Magma and Team Aqua, Hidden Legends, Fire Red Leaf Green, and Emerald are the ex sets without Gold Stars.

Right now probably Team Magma/Aqua. To be honest I didn’t grow up with EX, so I don’t have a specific set I’m searching for, for nostalgias sake.

I think that around 2.5k is a fair evaluation for a random ex series box currently. Single pack of every set sell for at least 50 bucks, sometimes considerably more, a box should always carry a premium over single packs.

I’d try to lower it to around U$S2K for team magma, considering last sales.

I sold a ex Emerald booster box recently for around 3.5k. The only ones I can see been sold around 2.5k is Team Magma vs. Team Aqua and Hidden Legends.

mostly because there are no ‘‘big hits’’ in these boxes; Ex Emerald has cards Like Milotic Ex; Raichu Ex & Deoxys Ex; wich have extremely low pop and can achieve a Premium if PSA10; plus several reserve solos like Rayquaza.

Magma VS Aqua’s most expensive card is Suicune Ex; wich is worth around U$S400 in Gem Mint condition according to last sales, followed by Entei (roughly 250) and Raikou (200ish).

As for hidden legends, most of the Ex’s are worth $100 or less if graded 10.

Ex Emerald is Top notch compared to these 2.
