I just picked up a set of three (Rowlet eevee psyduck) for a 28$ best offer +free shipping. I’m quite happy with that price. For the other two I’ll wait a little longer. To see what the prices settle at.

I’m not a native speaker at all. The the original post of this thread contains a link to the page where these cards were announced, in Japanese: www.pokemon-card.com/info/2018/20181015_001440.html. This page reveals the full name of the promotion, ā€œćƒ ćƒ³ć‚Æ展ā€•å…±é³“ć™ć‚‹é‚ć®å«ć³ā€, which translates (using Google) to ā€œMunch Exhibition - Shout of Resonating Soulā€. The main takeaway from this is ā€œćƒ ćƒ³ć‚Æ展ā€ - ā€œMunch Exhibitionā€, and that’s all you need to narrow down the search result on Mercari to find the PokĆ©mon cards.

I’m curious where the sealed promos are coming from. Nearly all I’ve seen were given loose. Did I overlook a bundle that had them sealed in it?

I’m curious about this as well. I mentioned earlier in the thread that I paid extra for a sealed set. This is the one I bought (the text, ęœŖ開封, says ā€œunopenedā€):

One thing which is interesting to note is that the packs have holes near the top which appear to be for hanging these cards up individually. All of the sealed listings I’ve seen have the exact same packs - so I think we can happily rule out third-party sealing.

I had originally assumed that these are available individually from the Munch Exhibition and the unsealed ones are from the PokƩmon Center. Why would anyone visiting an art gallery be interested in buying an entire box of PokƩmon cards which have nothing to do with the exhibit just to acquire a card which does? However, the listing I bought mine from explicitly mentions that these were a bonus for purchasing the GX Ultra Shiny box, so maybe not.

This sold listing on Rakuten mentions that they were acquired at the PokƩmon Center: item.fril.jp/7d32f29ee57a7856e37b19cdc6918889.

This sold listing on Mercari mentions, ā€œafter putting it out of the bag I put it in the sleeveā€: item.mercari.com/jp/m66362606848.

Perhaps it’s just the sellers themselves opening them up before selling.

I was wondering about this as well. However packs are not all the same, there is this listing on ebay that shows a different pacakging.

What do you all think?

How does this card have a hole?

Or is it not a real card?

It does look like it is a real card…
If it is, does that mean there will be technically two versions, one with a hole and one without?
This one looks glossy and as far as i am aware the other cards aren’t

It might have been used for display. Similar to the hole punched e-reader cards.

Wait is that the tag for the plush?! :relieved:

Looks like it :sob: . Does psa grade tags?
Maybe a psa 10 tag will be worth more than the psa card

So mimikyu is supposed to be the easiest to obtain but on every site I have checked it has had the fewest listings and the highest price. Anyone know whats going on?

The mimikyu and pikachu will both be a minimum cost of 1600Ā„ + 450Ā„ just for one person to obtain the card. This is why the value is higher. The only way to obtain these cards is by going to the museum and purchasing at the gift shop.

That’s not true. Mimikyu is the card with the easiest purchase option as it’s available from the museum, the PokĆ©mon Center and the online shop. Pikachu, as far as I’m aware, will only be available from the museum, making it much harder to obtain multiple copies.

As far as I’m aware, customers can get an unlimited number of Eevee, Psyduck and Rowlet cards by simply buying loads of GX Ultra Shiny boxes. Mimikyu on the other hand is limited to just one per customer. Pikachu will not only be limited to one per customer, but I believe you’ll need to buy a special ticket at the museum and go through an exhibit every time you want to obtain one.

In my mind, Eevee, Psyduck and Rowlet will be the most common, Mimikyu will then be scarcer, and Pikachu will be even scarcer than that.

Can you imagine local businesses sending employees who are just speedrunning that exhibit all day for the Pikachu cards?

Please send me link to the online shop where I can buy the Mimikyu ftom the online shop. I went to about 4 or 5 Pokemon Centers last week and the Mimikyu is not for sale. Could only get at the Museum…limited one per entry ticket to the Munch exhibit. Will be the same for Pikachu, but with a shorter time of availability.

People who lined up at 5 am to get a ticket that gave them a window of time to go to a Pokemon Center and purchase up to 2 Shiny GX Booster Boxes. Each person was then given one of each Psyduck, Eevee, and Rowlet for free. Boxes are still sold out and you cannot get an unlimited amount of promos at this time.

Ah, I linked it earlier in the thread:

It’s still in stock.

The mimikyu is limited one per person. You can only buy one card per account.

If you can only get this pikachu by visiting the museum for a limited time any idea how many will be in circulation once they’re out of print?

a few hundred or a few thousand?
