I think a key issue - atleast for me is that it’s $15 which isn’t crazy cheap but somewhat reasonable however you then only have the $199 max value, on top of also having to pay to be a member of PSA - so the real average cost to grade quickly drifts up.
That doesn’t even include cost of shipping and risk of getting caught up in any overseas tax issues for those not in the USA like me in the U.K. whereas I didn’t have to worry about any of this with middlemen services pre covid boom
All of this was pretty much irrelevant at the middle man pricing where all of that was included in the price of circa $13 dollars I would say through the bulk tier as many of the cards would get missed from the higher value card fees.
