Switch is spiritual successor to 3ds. To be honest, here in australia i’ve never seen more people hand held gaming as much as i have seen lately (via switch). What might occur is they bring out a switch slim without docking capabilitues making it a more handheld version of the console.
I’ve saved a screenshot on my phone mate of your 3DS successor quote, because frankly, the reason the 3DS will get a successor is the price point. The Switch is too expensive to be a suitable replacement.
I actually wish they did that, I’d be happy with just a handheld. As much as Pokemon on big screen sounds awesome, I’m probably going to use Switch mostly as a handheld anyways as I don’t have space for more consoles on my tv setup. Feels cruel to take one of them away to make space
i concur, but!
Emulation has come a long way, what about… hooking a pc to that 20" Tv and run Gamecube in whatever highest resolution your tv supports
with all the graphics cranked up :3
I bought a Switch and I love the flexibility. It’s amazing and still has much potential. However, I do not think Switch should be a direct successor due to its size and pricing. I think a Switch Lite could be nice. Being a bit old school, I still enjoy a dedicated mobile gaming device like the 3DS though.
