When Gold & Silver came out, I immediately loved the Steel-type and thought Yasmine’s Gym was the coolest I’d seen.
I really like the Steel cards as well, particularely from the first three Neo sets. After that they slightly changed the colour, which I didn’t like (does anyone know why?).
I’m not completely sure, but I’d guess the change was made to improve text readability. The older Neo sets have a darker pattern right where the attack text is, while Neo Destiny is much easier to read thanks to the changes they made.

Makes sense! It does make this card-type more special in my opinion because how the cards look changes a lot.
