I have this PSA slab that I graded myself a few months ago, and when I took it out to display I realized that it has developed this mysterious stain(?) on it. It’s not on the scan of the card nor did I notice it when it first got shipped back to me, and I have stored it in a perfect fit sleeve in my closet ever since I got it back. The marking is on the surface of the slab and has a very slight texture. I first tried to clean it with water, then plastx, but neither did anything. Any idea how this happened or what it is, and how to avoid it?
Seems hard to take it as anything other than an imperfection in the plastic leading to a clouded stain. Definitely nuts that it isnt a more consistent issue with the amount psa produces slabbed cards. Im coming to believe that error stains in the plastic like this may pop up more often in the future as massive demand continues to prematurely follow the overexcitable releases of sets and assumptions of chase cards instead of sticking to tried and true basics.
I’m not going to make the obvious joke. Good luck finding advice!
good to avoid the low hanging fruit ![]()
Yeah I searched online for the issue and found nothing else that exactly matched what was on this card, but clouding definitely makes sense. I think I’ll contact support and try to get this one reholdered, but thank you
That was my first thought too ![]()
