Help with odd foggy circular pattern stain on PSA slab

Hi, was wondering if anyone had any idea what this foggy pattern I saw on a PSA slab could be.

It may be hard to see, but I am referring to the fogginess with a circular pattern. I tried highlighting it more below (excuse the paint skills…). The best comparison I could make is to rain droplets on a window panel, but the circles are more uniform and closer together on the slab.

It used to be a little more noticeable and in a wider area (both front and back). I found it odd since it had a noticeable pattern of circles of different sizes but I managed to mostly cleaned it up using a wet wipe and a wet tissue with water. However even after scrubing for quite a while you can still faintly see the pattern if you angle the light just right.

Can’t really comment on how it got the stain since I only recently purchased the slab and it came with it. Does anyone have any ideas on what it may be? Perhaps some residue after waxing? I’m a little panicky thinking it may be some kind of fungus or mold since I wasn’t able to completely get rid of it even after scrubing a lot.

Thanks!

Does it persist after polishing with PlastX?

don’t have any on hand, but will give it a try. thanks for the suggestion!

I have some slabs with this issue. I think it’s on the inner face of the slab. Looks like dried raindrop smudges

I think you’re right. I do remember the weather being cold and the card itself being cold when I first picked it up from my mailbox. Perhaps the leftover fainted stain I’m seeing is on the inside like you mentioned after it warmed up.

Hmmm I don’t think it’s from the weather though. Some of these affected slabs came directly like that from psa.

Looks to me more like a plastic defect that look like dried smudges.

Found this on Reddit. Mine looks similar to this.
