hi everyone! i was inspired by many people’s pokemon spreadsheets, so i decided to make my own!
i made one for my arcanine master set (in all languages) and it took a bunch of research, but i finally finished (i hope)
NerdyBear’s Arcanine Master Set - ALL LANGUAGES (updated version)
im missing A LOT because i’ve focused more on english, but i will finish it no matter what, although itll definitely take a few years. maybe i’ll add growlithe too… but thats for another day
__
edit: thank you to everyone helping!! i appreciate all the kind people helping on this arcanine journey! and please let me know if im missing anything / i need to fix anything
Very nice, I wish you good luck on your collection progress! However, there are a few things I noticed with the spreadsheet: On the front cover you seem to have accidentally counted Dutch as Polish, the XY180 promo does not exist in Russian, in the card list checkboxes for almost all Korean cards seem to be missing, Presence of Champions also released in Thai, all Traditional Chinese checkboxes seem to be missing and partially that column has the S-Chinese checkboxes instead, Latin American Spanish is missing for Destined Rivals and you seem to list some Portuguese reverse versions from sets where Portuguese was not doing reverses yet.
i appreciate this a lot thank u!!
i was struggling finding what cards were in other languages so i decided to just guess
as for the korean cards, i couldnt find a single source to help with those so i left them mostly blank
but thanks for letting me know
For Korean regular sets, it’s like this:
Base Set
ADV expansion pack
10 Korean exclusive Gen 4 sets (so for any Gen 4 Arcanine cards go to their Bulbapedia article, click on more then what links here and check for anything with (KTCG) in it)
Gen 5 onwards every regular Japanese set was also released in Korean
thank you!
at a first glance, ex trainer kit 2 is missing languages and I don’t think that break promo was in russian
Thanks for sharing, fellow fire dog collector

I’m in the middle of the spreadsheet grind myself right now. I checked my English stamped list for you and only came up with two arcanine cards. Feel free to check yourself. When I start adding other languages I’ll let you know if I find anymore.
what languages is it missing?
question, how do i find what cards are simplified chinese or traditional chinese?
In the case of S-Chinese, if you mean the Card List, you have to have a WeChat account. There’s an official Pokémon Micro Application where they release Card Lists.
These Card Lists include all variants released physically and more data regarding cards.
Search this Micro Application in WeChat as: 宝可梦卡牌会员
Arcanine name in S-Chinese is: 风速狗
For T-Chinese, search here for Card Lists
Arcanine name in T-Chinese is: 風速狗
Unrelated to Card Lists, but T-Chinese also has cool stuff I’d like to share
Usually they make interactive websites such as this one …
Btw, if you don’t want to install WeChat, I’ve already sold my soul to have access. You can DM me which Pokémon/Item/Trainer you are collecting (I suppose Arcanine) and I’ll share you the whole list in S-Chinese (with variants)

Regarding Latin American Spanish, it started in Journey Together.
TPCi decided to make a split for Spanish: Spain Spanish and Latin American Spanish. Announced in January 2025 and started to be applied in March 2025 with the expansion previously mentioned. Both type of Spanish coexist.
All main expansions after that one have been released in this language (Destined Rivals, Black Bolt/White Flare, Mega Evolution, etc)
The way you can differentiate Spain Spanish with Latam Spanish is the suffix in the expansion box
- Spain Spanish suffix is ES
- Latin American Spanish suffix is LA
(This is for the 99% of the cases. The exception is the 30th Celebration (Classic Collection) where there are no expansion box for most cards. Difference is in wording)
In the case of DRI Arcanine, the variants available in Latam Spanish are Non-Holo & Reverse Holo.
Things you should have in consideration regarding Latin American Spanish:
- 1 Pack Blisters don’t exist in this language (Cards such as Slowpoke MEP086 don’t exist in this language)
- 3 Pack Blisters are released in this language (Cards such as Yanmega SVP187 exist in this language)
- PreRelease cards such as Alakazam MEP003 exist in this language
- STAFF Versions of the PreRelease cards are also available in this language
- ETBs are released in this language (along its respective Promo cards)
- Not all products are released in this language (for example, Pokémon Day 2026 Collection box has not been released in Latin American Spanish)
- Prize Pack Series (from 1 to 8) have not been released in Latin American Spanish
- However, starting with Prize Pack Series 9, these cards are being distributed in Latin American Spanish as well … some cards are also available as Cosmos Holo

One card missing in your spreadsheet is the Arcanine SVP011 in Spain Spanish.
This card has been released physically in this language.
If you’re wondering, this card doesn’t exist in Latin American Spanish …

For cards that are NOT Rare Holo:
- Spain Spanish had © 1999 (Available in both 1st Edition & Unlimited)

For Rare Holo cards, all Spanish cards have ©1999 (No matter if it’s Spain or Latin America).
Rare Holo cards in Spanish are available in 2 variants:

Shadowless & English Base Set variants:
Other important thing to highlight is regarding Shadowless

Japanese L1 variants:
Cards from L1 are available in Japanese as 1st Edition in Non-Holo/Holo and Reverse Holo variant (Alph Lithograph and LEGEND cards are not available as Reverse Holo)
Most Japanese L1 cards don’t exist as Unlimited variant.
The exceptions are Unlimited Non-Holo versions of the Johto Starters (Chikorita, Cyndaquil & Totodile) and the Pokémon LEGEND cards Lugia & Ho-Oh that were distributed via Special Campaigns
In case of Arcanine, it’s available as 1st Edition in both Holo & Reverse Holo variants.
(It doesn’t exist as Unlimited)
My First Battle:
My First Battle decks were also released in Spain Spanish.
In the case of Arcanine, it was available as Non-Holo
This is NOT an Asset. In fact, this is a scan of a physical card. This unit belongs to a friend of mine …
If you’re wondering, this card doesn’t exist in Latin American Spanish
Hope you find this as helpful …

Yeah depending how serious the master list is, there should be 40 or more for Base set alone.
Spanish actually has 7 card versions for Base. There is a second version of 1999 unlimited if you check the “e” on the back you can find them with or without shadows.
any chance u could tell me where i can find these? im trying to do every single arcanine ever so i should add all of those
It’s a very deep rabbit hole that is not really publicly documented yet. Most people stop right about where you are and that’s still amazing. We are finding new stuff every week with vintage WOTC still so it’s not settled yet, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Many of the unusual variants require physically checking ink under magnification and UV so it’s quite hard to identify and acquire.
oh wow thats crazy bro… thanks for letting me know tho!!
