More Facebook Fails

You literally cannot make this stuff up…

Since that conversation I’ve been told “No way” to my offer. Hilarious!

Heres one from yesterday, teach me to never respond to a ‘buying wotc boxes’ post on FB again lol

Prices are AUD - which equate to about a $1050 USD offer for the 1st ed fossil and claims of $550 USD unlimited boxes being available

Haha that’s hilarious. I’d love to know who that is :joy:

After my short time on facebook i think the problem is Pokemon Australia, Seems to be run by a few people who are just trying to rip others off?

But have had a few diamonds in the rough, so it has been worth all the shit posts…

Stone the flamin crows! Thats one fair dinkum deal there mate!:sunglasses:

I saw that guys post, he’s dreaming, just because it’s the only one in the world doesn’t make it valuable. There are BGS 10 1st edition gym holos that were 1 of 1s sold by probstein a few months ago that didn’t break $300 IIRC. He’s not getting 1k for modern jank lol.

The story gets better, he asked me to give me his mobile number. Then he called me scared and a keyboard warrior because I showed him the sold listing and said no one will pay his asking price, because he didn’t even pay it

Oh man I haven’t been on fb for ages but I feel like just going on so I can check out Pokémon Australia again haha.

I remember once one of the admins was trying to sell a card claiming it was worth much more than it actually was. Just blatant lies and people were just blindly following an listening. In the comments I pointed out to anyone interested that SOLD eBay listings were much lower and if anyone wants to find out the value they should go there. Anyway my comment got deleted. I wrote it again and the second one got deleted too haha

Edit: he was promoting it in a video and there was gonna be a live Facebook auction so he was hyping it

Some of the prices on pokemon australia are amazing, things that are $50 selling for $150

Some of the difference in pricing is due to regional convenience. It’s easier to pay a bit more for an item in your country as there aren’t any customs fees. It can cost more to import, even for modern product. The same is true for Europe.

@smpratte with why i dont buy high end stuff from overseas too often. The invisible costs are more intrusive than postage costs.

I am one of the last few sellers who doesn’t use GSP and can get an item overseas without additional costs.. But I know the struggle. It’s unfortunate as it deters a lot of potential business.
