Merry Xmas, everyone!
I was walking through Tokyo this morning and came across this gorgeous Christmas tree. It stands about 20 feet tall. And those ornaments? Those are Pokemon plush toys.
How tempting it was to reach over and pluck one or several of the goodies right off the branches!
But that’s just not how we do things here in Japan.
The remarkable thing is that this tree is outdoors, and there weren’t any security guards anywhere. (Those steel cables aren’t meant to keep thieves from carting the tree away — they are there to prevent the tree from falling over.)
How long do you think this Poke-tree would stay unmolested in your country?
I can’t really fathom the use of the word molested to describe something not being stolen. Seems inappropriate at best given the connotations attached.
Anyways, this would probably last a week in Aus. If that.

And by the way, molest has two definitions, the one I’m sure we’re all familiar with, but it also means to harass or bother. As I’m sure would happen to this tree in other countries.
If that tree were in my country, i’d be able to get my pickup truck and rope a chain around both. We’d be off in a few minutes going for a drag. I wouldn’t actually take anything home I would just drag it a few miles until I got bored and then go rope something else.
Lol funny how pokemon is really trying to push out it’s new starters.

It’s like the marketing team at pokemon company said… lets just put new starters on the tree, only new pokemon… need to sell new series only… push sun and moon… need to sell sun and moon, sun and moon…
