I initially didn’t like it, but think that was because I wanted Seaking to get the next one, not because I actually dislike it.

I’m excited that my favorite Pokemon is getting some love…but this is certainly not how I envisioned a Mega Victreebel to look. I feel like it has sort of lost that “monster” feel that the original design captures.
The design will grow on me, I’m sure. Just hard to take this goober serious.

This is my feeling exactly. Also the trailer built it up to something more scary and horror (Resident Evil-esque) only to end with this goober. I like the design but I hoped they kept the original “man eating plant” factor for Victreebel. I understand to some extent Dragonite being goofy but Victreebel always seemed a monster Pokemon.

It’s so goofy looking, I love it! Nice to see some of the less popular Pokemon get mega forms too. Looking forward to seeing the others that get revealed!
