English cards are produced with even worse quality now. Like I said I picked out cards the best cards from over 12 cases. I went through more than 3 copies of each for flashfire.
I know that BW, NV EPO plasma freeze, plasma blast had the easiest time grading. Especially the plasma sets I mentioned. I’ve nearly got all the FA and SR from both in a psa 10. Balgoy had about 5 of the for sale on ebay. The ones that were online were mostly those sets.
I’ve noticed a steady decline in the quality of cards being produced. They are almost all off center, texture patterns are showing up more and more on the back, lots of edge/corner wear. I will say this. A good portion of the cards I got 10s came from blister packs. For some reason they are almost always gem mint.
See the numbers don’t lie. Look at the pop report for plasma blast and freeze. You’ll see a ton of 10s. Trainers seem to grade well over all sets.
The thing g about both Japanese and english psa 10 and 9s is they don’t hold their value well in auctions except for a few. You’re better off waiting for the right buyer. I’m happy people are moving to Japanese. GTFO (with love) from my English psa 10s lol.
Website wasn’t loading properly, didn’t see second page of posts. I still think its stupid to pay this much for a new, mass produced card! Old ones makes more sense…but I’m looking at the different versions I have of this card, and don’t see how they’re not 10s. Straight out the packets, sealed up in top loaders. If they’re not getting a 10, it means the company isn’t making the cards properly.
Slightly off-topic, but if you ever need BW boxes, I see them all the time, piled up in the card shops here in Guangzhou, China. 1st edition boxes that nobody bought. It’s deemed too expensive a hobby here!
Not every card made isn’t psa 10 worthy when they leave the factory, only based on discussions here at upccc the production quality for english EX,FA and SR isn’t too consistent. One of many reasons what jacks up the price.
