I didn’t see it like him being a dick at all. He’s actually using a few different approaches in his negotiation tactic:
Starts off by trying to get the seller’s attention by making funny claims (calling himself a Pokémon professor, saying he has statistics on the rarity [lol] of the card)
Turns around and gets straight to the point, and gets aggressive by threatening to stop dealing with the seller if his offer isn’t accepted.
He softens up his previous aggression by simply asking if 4k is good enough to close the deal.
Seems like a weird tactic to use when trying to work out a deal with a seller, but I assume it has worked for him before, otherwise he wouldn’t have tried it on an item as expensive as the Zard (assuming he wasn’t trolling of course).
No, I don’t at this time. But I will some day! I just wish I could find a good enough copy to grade, because I prefer grading my own cards instead please of buying (except when it’s easier to just buy a graded copy of course).
Edit: dunno where the please came from lol. Dumb autocorrect…
Yes I grade everything to, but charizard is just to hard to find these days. Even when it comes up its to expensive, like the one that just went for 2100 US or something.
Yeah, it’s tough. But seeing that YouTube video someone posted here of some dude recently getting a 10 on it, plus Xuzu’s Zard regrading as a 10,… Makes me optimistic haha. I’d say there’s still a chance that there’s one lying around somewhere that PSA will deem good enough to give a 10.
There can be dozens of flaws that never show up in the pics. Usually, only centering and whitening is noticed in scans. I usually prefer a top sellers condition description.
This is true, to some extent. You can notice centering and whitening if you have a good camera. As for descriptions, a lot of people’s grading scales will vary widely. A good description doesn’t automatically mean the item will arrive in the condition you thought it was on based on the description.
Yeah well thats my top bid on there and I cant go any further or I’m broke. It is very small amount of info on this charizard. I cant tell if that’s a shill on the end of that 5 feedback who has beaten me by 10 USD, because it does say 50% and the person with 5 feedback only bidded on 2 items.
Agreed. I usually try to take pics of any damage, but sometimes my camera can’t seem to pick up certain scratches or whatnot, so I’ll mention it in the description.
I AFREE WITH ALL THE THINGS! My listings of raw singles usually have pretty good pictures of the back, and I use really good camera. Im betting That Holo Part on that charizard cannot have a scratch though.
Thanks for doing that. I honestly have lost count of how many messages I send per week, asking sellers to provide more pics of cards’ backs lol. Seems like alot of people feel like just pics of the fronts are enough -.-
