looking to purchase a 1st edition base charizard PSA 10

But it doesn’t matter what you think looks like a 9 as far as centering goes as long as they fit within PSA’s gem mint centering parameters

Sorry I just see too many times on this forum (and elsewhere) how everyone else’s 10s are “so weak” and yet their cards are super pristine. Kind of an annoyance I have on the collectible market in general. It’s a solid 10 - it’s lot a black label.

That card was not a PSA 10. As others have said the crack in the case being over the card means the grade is compromised and if you wanted to have it recased PSA would actually have to regrade the card. Since it’s already been graded a 10 once before the risk isn’t large, but it sold for only 10% less than market value which is frankly astounding.

It’s been brought up in several threads recently (most notably here: www.elitefourum.com/t/psa-10-1st-edition-charizard/25267/1) but the overwhelming consensus is that if you want something other than a card where the seller won’t answer any questions and won’t show the back, $40k is the offer that will get people listening. You can believe it’s a syndicate, but that’s how the market rolls.

I buy the card, not the grade.

Lock the thread. Anyone selling under $35k shouldn’t have difficulty finding a buyer.
