Nope, and the world moves on. If you are a investor, bad news, probably gonna need to hold cards for long term now. If you are collector, good news, prices are getting more affordable!

I’m sure we’ll probably have a similar uptick in new collector/investors after this Steve Aoki box break. Every time we have a big influx seems like a small percentage of them remain and the overall hobby base grows. If prices do retrace maybe it’ll be a good time to pick up cards before the Olympics puts Pokemon back in the spotlight again

Do people care probably… I mean he is part of the event on the 15th? This wasn’t unexpected by any means imo, he isn’t a collector by nature imo he invested and he invested in the correct set why would he buy more now? Maybe he can go wood work some PSA stands/cases haha.

Right. He opened one base set box. Not for himself mind you. Sold all the packs for crazy amounts. Reasoning being for a shout out which he did a bad job on as is. I also find it hard to believe the slight mention actually benefits anyone’s channel. You still have to make your own success and videos.

From what I understand, he completed his collection goals. Why would anyone collect past their goal? I see this as a good thing, many of us here only DREAM of being able to say we’ve completed our goals. I’m happy for him.
He just completed a poke deal today and did buy a pack for the livestream Sunday.

100% agree. He follows the hype. I do think he enjoyed his experiences with Pokémon, but I don’t think its surprising at all. Won’t change a thing for me!
I think the impact on prices will be nonexistent. He certainly brought a lot of attention to the market, but that doesn’t translate into taking that new interest away with him when he stops buying stuff. His job here is done.
Prices / popularity were already going up - that’s why he hopped on. He shouldn’t be getting full credit for the boom. I’m sure he is not done by the King Pokemon post above.
