We’re stone grilling today, since it’s my birthday. So meat, mushrooms, ananas, bell pepper, etc.
Anyway, on topic: I didn’t care when he entered the hobby, and I don’t really care now that he left the hobby a few weeks later. Same applies to all these ‘celebrities’. If they really like to collect Pokémon, good for them and I welcome them with open arms like any new or returning collector who’s genuinely interested. But most, if not all of them, are only in it for the money and/or attention, and don’t really care about Pokémon in general.
I hope the hype dies down a bit and prices go down a bit as well (especially for modern sets tbh) now that he’s gone, if this gossip is indeed true. But I’m pretty sure nothing changes if one collector is leaving, even if he has 22.5+ million subscribers on YouTube. The dip in prices of PSA-9 WotC cards right now probably has a larger impact on people leaving than Logan Paul saying his goodbyes… But in a few months time prices will probably increase again anyway, as they always have over the past few decades. Pokémon is still booming right now, and there isn’t much that will change that anytime soon tbh. Although I definitely prefer to be proven wrong in this case so prices will go down a bit.
Same here, I would LOVE to have the same purchasing power I did before the boom. Unfortunately I think you’re right, but I’m hoping to grab a few items during this dip
I know he said he finished his collection goals but that was a while ago, and I haven’t seen any news of him declaring to exit the hobby. Not that I care about it, but where is the news coming from?
This is what happens when you think base set is the only thing to collect in Pokemon. It’s easy to find and honestly gets boring quickly. He’s obviously got a short attention span so that mixed with collecting base starters and only 1st edition base set holos I am not surprised he’s finished with the hobby. A fan yes, a true collector I am not seeing that with his attitude now but I wish him the best in his next endeavor.
