Logan Paul & Cryptozoo [Warning: drama]

The sidemen facial expressions at 31:00-31:08 are fucking priceless.

Lol - he just got better at hiding and faking a well crafted persona

RIP this week’s source of comedy

Even the last video’s is now gone. Too bad I didn’t read them while they were up.

Here is a video that offers some commentary on the situation. He makes some pretty valid points and observations. He has another video he made on Logan’s original response as well. Got a few good laughs out of it too, so figured I’d share.

There’s no doubt that Logan’s exposure brought many people into Pokemon in 2020. I don’t think he’s single-handedly responsible for driving growth in the hobby, though (not to say anyone here specifically is saying that, but I do anecdotally recall seeing internet people acting like he was). It’d be interesting to see how many accounts that were created during that spike are still active; it seems like sign-ups dropped back down to pre-Logan levels going into summer of 2021.

The most annoying thing about this debacle for me was his whole ā€œI worked so hard for 7 months to create my visionā€ spiel. I wonder if he has finally realised that even smaller budget indie games can take 4+ years to develop and tens of thousands of working hours by a team of dedicated and talented devs working full-time. Unless he is willing to fund such a project (he isn’t) then he should just pack up this garbage product and give people back their money.

Sounds like somebody was visited by three ghosts in the night demanding he change his ways…

Something about court of public opinion

I suggest any investors just demand they get repaid. The amount of effort and money to actually make a success out of this is beyond Logan Paul.

Does anyone actually believe that LP’s apology was a sincere and intrinsic realization that he did something wrong?
Certainly not, it was simply the only possible way out of the deep hole he dug himself and it was purely initiated by extrinsic public pressure. If it actually leads to investors getting their money back, that’s fine. But I can only hope that his fanbase doesn’t give him a full amnesty because of this apology and that the days where anyone invests anything in a LP project are gone for good (… pretty high hopes, I know).

He absolutely does not deserve any charitability in this case, but it would be nice if he did grow a conscience through all this.

Not sure how many chances people need to give him. I am sure his plan to make things right will not include refunding the victims, itll probably just be finishing this game that is already dead and impossible to revive due to the public view it has now. He only makes a big growth stink after he gets called out, honestly if you still trust him then there isnt much left the world can say to change your mind.
